I played the "good girl" role and went to bed early last night for I planned to head down to Orchard Road for an exciting and wonderful afternoon of shopping... Only to wake up to a piece of shocking news from my Twitter timeline about Orchard Road being FLOODED!!!?
Shocking, right? I wondered what Environment Minister Yaacob Ibrahim has to say as this old newspaper article explained "Why Orchard Road will never flood...". But hey it IS flooding right now. Anyway, that was an eleven years old article, so perhaps things changed along the way as Orchard Road, a cosmopolitan destination, is being transformed to a shoppers paradise, with all the luxury houses fronting Orchard Road with their signature flagship duplex units! :-/

But I am still very determined to head down to Orchard Road for my shopping trip as planned! Cos nothing can stand (flood, in this case, heh!) in my way! So, instead of taking private transport, I shall take a MRT train. I will go prepared with a brolly, jacket and shorts... No rain boots? Never mind.... Slippers will do! :p
(And maybe take some pictures for you guys to see. So stay tuned!)

3 Response to Orchard Road has a Flash Flood (Pics Included!)
LIKE DREAMING,I CANNOT BELEIVE IT SINGAPORE HAS A FLASH FLOOD.
I was there last week enjoying my shopping hobby .. so sad to see it now... cool blog.. keep it posted..
@Anonymous(1) It isn't the first time that Singapore experiences a flash flood. There was one at Bukit Timah last year, which caused alot of damage to those cars and homes there.
@Anonymous(2) Well at least you were not stuck in the flood like how some did (unfortunately).
